BMW 135i N54 inlet-valve walnut blasting.
We removed carbon from the inlet valves. Deposits can affect airflow and running, but cleaning does not prevent them returning; we have seen accumulation again within a year.
Breather-system condition should also be considered when investigating repeated deposits.
