Custom Dyno Tune

I don't think there are many if any BMW diesel we haven't tuned.
Without a dyno how do you know what the real gains are?
Some of the stuff we see applied to such diesels is often shocking. It clearly hasn't been data logged or tested in any real way.

Whether the tune is from a big name or a man in a van we've seen some really bad stuff. Typically from companies over stating the gains made. for example we've seen LOTs of M57 535D's claiming to make 400HP that often aren't making more than 340HP. Yes loads of torque so it feels faster but they end up at some car meet and they get whipped by some 330D running a hyper aggressive tune.

The partially funny ones are when they've been done by some "expert" on an engine. Only they know how to tune that kind of engine, yer ok buddy.

The same happens with M140s too, its amazing how many are stock and people think they've got some tuned up monster

The thing is about a custom tune, you get to set the parameters. If you want it FAST and you don't care about anything but the end goal then you can get rid of more of the safety protections. If you want something in between not an issue.

Sometimes people want max power, max safety, no smoke without hardware mods. I suppose in those instances we've learnt to decline the job
