Turbo upgrades and turbo replacement in South Wales

Replace the one that is finished, or fit the one the engine is being built around

Llandow Tuning supplies and fits turbos. A replacement is for a unit that is noisy, smoky, leaking oil, or not making the boost it should. An upgrade is a larger or hybrid turbo, with the pipes, manifolds and fuelling that have to change with it.

Low power or a boost warning? Our turbo and boost fault diagnosis investigates the cause before you choose a replacement or upgrade.

The calibration is part of the same plan. A different turbo is not left on the factory file. Stage 2, for hardware that is already on the car, is explained on the remapping page. The wider list of parts we fit is upgrade fitting. Diesel pumps and injectors that have to grow with the turbo are on the diesel fuelling page.

A turbo is checked as a unit, not just bolted on. After it is fitted, the car is calibrated on the rolling road.

Replacement and upgrade are different quotes

  • Replacement. Smoke, shaft play, oil in the intake, or boost that falls away. We confirm the turbo is the fault before a new unit is ordered. A split pipe can look like a dead turbo on a road test.
  • Upgrade. The turbo, the pipework, and the fuel system are chosen together, then the calibration is written on the dyno. Tell us the power you are aiming for and any turbo you have already bought, with the part number.
  • Not sure which. A fit to map check or a dyno session shows whether the turbo is the limit before it comes off.
