A track car, rally car or custom engine installation needs a tuning plan that reflects the hardware fitted and how it will be used. Llandow Tuning works with standalone ECUs, piggyback systems, carburettor setups and motorsport electronics at our South Wales workshop.
Our work covers ECU configuration and calibration, data logging, dashboards and gauges. Tell us what is already installed, what is working and what still needs to be completed so we can establish the scope before the vehicle arrives.
We can also evaluate the current setup and discuss hardware changes or a data logging package. The useful starting point is a specific objective, such as investigating inconsistent running, setting up a changed engine specification or gathering clearer information from a session.

Data logging and instrumentation
Tell us which measurements you need and what sensors, logger or dashboard are already fitted. A clear test objective helps define the data to collect and the electronics work required.
Carburettors and older competition engines

Information to send before booking
- Vehicle and engine details, including the current build specification and modifications.
- ECU, piggyback or carburettor details, plus the software or calibration currently in use.
- Available wiring diagrams, sensor details, previous results and relevant data logs.
- The fuel used, intended use, current faults and the outcome you want from the appointment.
- Any competition class requirements and the date by which the vehicle is needed.
Confirm the vehicle is ready for the agreed work
Let us know if the installation is incomplete, the engine has not been run or a fault still needs to be traced. Initial setup, wiring investigation and calibration involve different work and should be allowed for in the booking.

How a motorsport tuning quote is planned
We first establish the vehicle specification and the question the work needs to answer. We then discuss system support, the condition of the installation, any investigation required and the testing needed to assess the result.
Cost and workshop time depend on the ECU or carburettor setup, the completeness of the installation, wiring or instrumentation work, fault finding and the calibration scope. Share your event deadline early so timing can be discussed before the booking is agreed.
