BMW TCM Software Update
Customer requested we flash their gearbox to the latest BMW revision. Not an issue. We don't like to go in to a job with just one tool that can do the job. With this BMW we opted to update the TCM using Autohex, but if that had failed we could have used ISTA/P or WinKFP and failing that we could have used a tuning tool.

Whilst we have a number of Chinese diagnostic tools aka Launch, TopDon and Autel they are never our first choices for any kind of update as you never really know how successful they are going to be. You never know when a feature that was there yesterday is gone tomorrow or what will happen if the update fails. I suspect the real issue with the Chinese tools is they don't license the IP and at some point they get shut down and thus features vanish.
