What the free assessment covers
- A conversation about the symptoms, vehicle use and previous work.
- An initial stored-fault-code scan when the vehicle is present and communication is available.
- A printout of the scan results.
- Advice about the next useful tests, repair options or specialist investigation.
We welcome engine and emissions faults, including DPF, EGR and AdBlue warnings, misfires, suspected turbo or injector faults, non-starts and relevant immobiliser concerns. Owners and garages can use this starting point.
Free scan first, then an agreed diagnostic plan
A fault code records what a control unit detected; it does not by itself prove which part failed. The free scan and assessment are separate from the time and measurements needed to establish the cause of a complex problem.
After reviewing the findings, we explain the next useful tests and discuss further chargeable work. Live data investigation, electrical and mechanical testing, dismantling, injector removal, programming, parts and repairs are separate stages where required.
If the vehicle cannot communicate, or there are no useful stored codes, we explain what further testing may help. Non-starts and intermittent complaints can still need investigation without a fault code.
No appointment needed during weekday business hours
Visit the Llandow workshop Monday to Friday, 9:30am–5:30pm, for the free initial assessment. Contact us if you need to discuss the vehicle before travelling. Further diagnostic sessions are arranged with the workshop.
If the vehicle cannot be driven here, contact us before arranging delivery. Send warning photographs and earlier scan results so we can discuss the starting point. Remote information does not replace a vehicle scan or testing at the workshop.
Prepare the fault history
Bring your registration, mileage, scan reports and repair invoices. Note whether the problem happens cold, hot, at idle or under acceleration. Mention servicing, software changes and modifications; retain recorded fault information where possible.
