This Citroen Relay came in after having a calibration done elsewhere which left the vehicle regularly dropping into limp mode.

Unfortunately we see this kind of thing all the time. Poorly modified files, missing maps, incorrect changes, or software that has simply been pushed too far. Sometimes the file comes from a big name tuning network, other times it comes from someone operating out of a van who simply buys the cheapest file they can find online.

Customers are often charged hundreds of pounds for what is essentially a £20 file. It might appear to work for a short time, but weeks or months later the problems begin. Limp mode, warning lights, poor drivability, or components being pushed beyond what they should be.

In this case we carried out proper diagnostics to identify what was actually causing the faults. Once we worked through the issues we could see the calibration had several problems including incorrectly modified maps and areas that had simply been missed.

We also carried out a turbo clean using specialist chemicals to help restore operation. It has improved things for now, however the turbo is worn and the customer has been advised it will likely need replacing in the future.

Situations like this are exactly why proper diagnostics and proper calibration development matter.

If you want a tune and a quick guess there are plenty of options out there. If you want a genuine custom calibration built for your exact vehicle, properly tested and supported, there are very few places in Wales doing it this way.

If you are running an untested map you might be surprised how much power, torque and drivability you are actually missing.
