This Transit came in underperforming after having DPF and EGR software done elsewhere.

Something clearly wasn’t right.

We carried out proper diagnostics and datalogging, both on the road and through deeper analysis back in the workshop. The data quickly pointed towards the calibration being the issue.

Once we got into the ECU, it confirmed it. Poorly written software, inconsistent changes and areas that simply didn’t make sense.

Result
Loss of power
Poor drivability
And a vehicle not performing how it should

After working through it and correcting what we could within the calibration, the van was brought back to a much healthier state with performance restored.

We may not have uncovered every underlying issue with the vehicle, but we certainly gave it back the power it had lost and a setup that actually works properly.

This is exactly why testing and logging matter. Without it, this would have just been another “it feels a bit slow” van with no clear answer.

If your vehicle has had work done elsewhere and does not feel right, there is usually a reason.
