TGR Haas F1 Team has signed Rafael Câmara to a multi-year contract, with the Brazilian set to make his Formula 1 debut in 2027. The team announced the agreement on 15 October.

Haas said Câmara was leading the Formula 2 drivers’ championship on 207 points with two rounds remaining. The team cited three Feature Race wins, six podium finishes and five pole positions in his rookie F2 season with Invicta Racing.

Câmara entered F2 after winning the FIA Formula 3 title in 2025. He has been part of the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy since 2021. Haas said his first test with the team came in August, when he drove its 2025 VF-25 at Portimão as part of its Testing of Previous Cars programme.

The move confirms a 2027 seat after Haas announced that Esteban Ocon would leave at the end of this season. Câmara said his focus is now on preparing for the new role and learning to work with the team.
