Invicta Racing has signed Noah Stromsted for the 2027 Formula 2 season, completing a line-up that pairs the Danish driver with Britain’s Freddie Slater. The two will move up together after racing as team-mates in Formula 3 during 2026.

The announcement was published on 6 October. Formula 2 says the British outfit is the first team to confirm both of its drivers for 2027, while Invicta has confirmed that Stromsted will begin preparations by driving for it at the championship’s post-season test.

A familiar pairing

Stromsted, 19, finished tenth in the completed 2026 Formula 3 championship and won at the Red Bull Ring. Invicta’s career account also records a victory at Spa-Francorchamps in 2025, following his first appearance in the series at the final round of 2024.

His progression has included Danish and Spanish Formula 4, a UAE Formula 4 campaign and Formula Regional racing. He became a full-time F3 driver in 2025 before spending a second complete season in the championship this year.

Slater’s place at Invicta was announced on 15 September, after he finished runner-up in the 2026 F3 season. The Warwickshire-born driver is part of Audi’s Driver Development Programme and will also take part in the post-season F2 test with his new team.

His earlier record includes the 2023 Ginetta Junior title, the Italian and UAE Formula 4 championships in 2024, and the Formula Regional European crown in 2025. The new agreement therefore brings two drivers with recent F3 experience into the same F2 team, with their first shared task being preparation for the 2027 campaign.
