Motorsport UK has paid tribute to Phil Foster, chair of its Regional Committee and a member of the Motor Sports Council since 2020. The governing body’s tribute, published on 28 October, also records his work as chair of the East Midlands Association of Motor Clubs, a trustee of the British Motorsport Trust and former chair of Lincoln Motor Cycle and Car Club.
Foster competed in Lincoln club events from 1984, took part in the RAC International Historic Rally in 1994 and contested the British Historic Championship from 1995 to 2001. Motorsport UK also noted his 25-year association with the Ypres Historic Rally and his participation in historic rallies across Belgium and France.
