Deagen Fairclough strengthened his GB3 campaign with a second double win of the season, taking Sunday's second race at Donington Park.

The Hitech driver led from the start, while championship leader Nikita Bedrin spun into the barriers at the Fogarty Esses on the opening lap. It was Bedrin's first retirement of the year.

Fairclough remained in control despite a further Safety Car following contact between Ricardo Baptista and Jack Taylor. His fifth victory of the season came ahead of fellow British driver Leon Wilson.

Arden Motorsport's Wilson had moved forward from fourth on the grid and defended second from Rodin's Martin Molnar. Lucas Fluxa finished fourth, keeping himself among the leading championship contenders.

GB3's provisional report put Fairclough 2.120 seconds clear of Wilson. With Bedrin unable to score, the race gave his pursuers a significant opportunity to reduce the deficit before the closing events.
