Nikita Bedrin secured the 2026 GB3 drivers title by winning the opening race of the Barcelona finale on 7 November, according to the championship report and its provisional classification.
The VRD Racing driver started from pole but lost the lead to Xcel Motorsport racer Rowan Campbell-Pilling on the opening lap. After a safety car period, Bedrin closed back in and passed Campbell-Pilling at the first corner on lap 10.
Bedrin finished 0.975 seconds ahead of Campbell-Pilling, with Xcel team-mate Lucas Fluxa third. The victory was the seventh of the season for Bedrin, who went into the weekend leading the championship.
British driver Deagen Fairclough, who had been second in the standings before the finale, finished ninth after a five-second track limits penalty. JHR Developments newcomer Lewis Wherrell took fifth in his first GB3 race.
The final two races were scheduled for Sunday 8 November, with the teams championship still to be decided.
