Williams reserve driver Luke Browning will take part in first practice at the Mexico City and São Paulo Grands Prix, the team has confirmed. He is due to drive Alex Albon’s FW48 in Mexico on 30 October and Carlos Sainz’s car in Brazil the following weekend.
Williams says the outings will complete its four required rookie practice sessions for 2026, all driven by Browning. The team also says they will give him his first experience of the lighter chassis package introduced in Azerbaijan, with the information feeding into his simulator work.
Browning, the 2022 GB3 champion, races for Kondo Racing in Japan’s Super Formula alongside his Williams reserve duties. GB3 reports that he had already taken part in two Williams first-practice sessions during 2026.
