Kyle Ryde secured his third consecutive British Superbike title at Brands Hatch on Sunday, 18 October, becoming the first rider in the championship’s 30-year history to win successive crowns with two different manufacturers. After taking the 2023 and 2024 titles on a Yamaha, Ryde moved to a Ducati V4 R for his 2026 defence.
Ryde clinched the championship in the second of three races on the final weekend. He finished third behind race winner Scott Redding and Bradley Ray, with one race still to run. Redding had reduced Ryde’s advantage from 53 points to 48 by winning Saturday’s opening race, where Ryde was second, but the result on Sunday left Ryde’s lead unassailable.
The official championship report says Ryde had recorded 16 race wins and 12 additional podium finishes before arriving at Brands Hatch. His 2026 campaign began with three wins at Oulton Park.
