Andrew Howard announced that he would retire from full-time modern motorsport at the end of 2026, bringing a long British GT career towards its conclusion.

The two-time overall GT3 champion was due to make his 157th and final British GT start at Brands Hatch on 27 September. His record at the announcement included thirteen series wins across all classes.

Although closely associated with Beechdean and Aston Martin, Howard first entered British GT in a Ferrari 360 Modena at Rockingham in 2006. His later partnership with Jonny Adam produced overall titles in 2013 and 2015.

The wider record also includes the 2016 European Le Mans Series crown and appearances at the Le Mans and Spa 24-hour races.

The planned retirement closes a career spanning twenty-seven years, during which Howard's cars and partnerships became a familiar part of British endurance racing and Aston Martin's domestic competition history.
