Tom Roche confirmed on 29 April 2014 that he would contest the remaining BRSCC Mazda MX-5 SuperCup rounds under his Blendini Motorsport banner.

The reigning 2013 Mazda MX-5 champion had made a guest appearance in Paul Sheard's Mk3 car at Silverstone and finished fourth. He said that experience convinced him to seek a new challenge in the SuperCup rather than defend his earlier-model title.

Roche's next scheduled appearance was a double-header at Brands Hatch Indy on 3 May, supporting the MG Car Club meeting. He also reported enquiries from potential team-mates as Blendini sought to expand its SuperCup entry.
