Blendini Motorsport's Tom Roche approached the 2017 BRSCC Mazda MX-5 SuperCup finale at Donington Park with the title battle against Luke Herbert still unresolved.
In its update on 7 October, the team reported that Roche had returned from Croft with two race victories and a second place. Those results kept him in contention ahead of the final meeting, listed for 14–15 October.
