750 Motor Club has paid tribute to Gary Taylor, the competitor and volunteer director who died earlier in 2026. In its announcement on 7 October, the club recalled his involvement in 116 Trophy and Sprint racing over the preceding five years.
Taylor had also spent four years on the club's board, contributing experience in digital marketing and IT. His friend and co-driver Ross Riley described how the pair bought a BMW after Riley obtained his race licence at Mallory Park, beginning their shared involvement in club racing.
Riley remembered Taylor's enthusiasm for racing and his commitment to supporting the club away from the track. The tribute also acknowledged the loss felt by Taylor's family and those who worked and raced alongside him.
