AdBlue Diagnostics in South Wales

An AdBlue warning does not identify a failed part on its own. We investigate the fault behind the message before recommending a repair. Tell us the exact warning and any remaining restart-countdown distance when you contact the workshop.

Start with the warning and fault codes

Our free initial code scan and printout provides a starting point. It is separate from a full diagnostic investigation: stored codes describe what the control unit has detected, and further tests may be needed to establish why.

A warning that remains after a refill, a recurring engine light or an SCR efficiency fault can have different causes. Fluid information, dosing equipment, sensors, wiring and the exhaust system need to be considered in context.

What an SCR diagnostic appointment can involve

  • Recording the warning, stored codes and the conditions in which the problem appears.
  • Inspecting accessible components for leaks, damage or deposits.
  • Comparing live data and carrying out supported component tests where the vehicle and diagnostic access allow.
  • Explaining the findings and the next repair or testing step, with a quote for the agreed work.

The test plan depends on the vehicle. A fault mentioning a NOx sensor, for example, is a reason to investigate rather than order that part without further checks.

What to send before your visit

Send the registration, model, engine, mileage, warning-message photo and any code printout. Include when AdBlue was last added, whether the warning changed afterwards, and details of previous repairs or software changes. Leave stored fault information available for the appointment where possible.

Diagnostic costs and repair time

The initial code scan is free. Further diagnostic work, parts and repairs are quoted separately. Component access, the tests required and parts availability determine the next steps; we will discuss these after reviewing the vehicle details.

Questions about AdBlue faults

Will adding more AdBlue clear the warning?

That depends on the message and cause. A low-level warning and a system fault are different situations. Follow the vehicle's refill instructions and send us the exact message if it persists.

Can you investigate a fault already repaired elsewhere?

Yes. Bring the previous diagnosis, invoices and code reports so we can understand what has already been tested or replaced.
