WRDA reported a correction to the classification of Welsh Sports and Saloon runners after its April 2025 season-opening races at Castle Combe, where they shared the track with the circuit's GT field.

Its 30 April account said some Welsh cars had initially been treated as non-finishers in the second race after the faster GT leader lapped the field. Clerk of the course Andrew Barron clarified that the WSSCC competitors required separate classification, resolving the issue.

Damian Longotano led the championship's points-scoring runners in both races in his Westfield. New competitor Paul Endicott, driving a Ford Ka, received the association's Driver of the Race award for his opening appearance.
