Stephen Miles set the fastest time of the day and Bristol Motor Club's outright Llandow record on his first run at its 2021 sprint, before stopping when another competitor spotted two broken wheel studs.
The club's 12 July report described a wet start that gave way to sunshine. Matthew Bennett improved the unlimited road-car class record by almost two seconds in his Porsche 911 Turbo, while Matt Parr took more than three seconds off his class benchmark.
After the meeting, Michael Bartlett retained his Bristol MX5 Challenge and Two Litre Cup leads. Parr headed the Bristol Speed Championship after its opening round.
