Nominations have opened for the 2026 FIA Women in Motorsport Award and FIA Empowering Disabled Motorsport Award. The FIA announced the call on 29 October and says entries must be submitted with support from the applicant’s national sporting authority. The closing date is 23 November, with winners due to be announced during FIA General Assemblies Week in Shanghai in December.
The awards recognise individuals, teams and ASN-led initiatives that widen opportunities for women or improve access and participation for people with disabilities. Last year’s inaugural women’s award went to F1 Academy driver Alba Hurup Larsen for her Girls International Racing Lab initiative; ADAC Südbayern received the disability award for its inclusive programme using adaptive technology and partner clubs.
