Nasser Al-Attiyah and co-driver Max Delfino secured the FIA Middle East Baja Cup titles with a round to spare after winning the Qatar International Baja on 31 October.

The pair completed the event in their two-wheel-drive Optimus MD Rallye in 5 hours 12 minutes 54.1 seconds. According to the final result published by the FIA, they finished 29 minutes 8.7 seconds ahead of Francisco Barreto and Paulo Fiúza in a Toyota Hilux.

Barreto and Fiúza lost around 18 minutes to navigational difficulties in the Sealine dunes towards the end of the second stage. Their second place overall put them first among the FIA World Baja Cup entrants, with Barreto leading that championship after the event.

Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari and Oriol Mena were third overall in a Can-Am Maverick R and led the Challenger category. Al-Attiyah had already taken maximum regional points in Saudi Arabia and Jordan earlier in the season.
