Aiden Moffat won the BTCC qualifying race at Brands Hatch on Saturday 10 October 2026, holding off Tom Ingram by 0.504 seconds. The amended classification remains provisional pending judicial and technical matters.
The Power Maxed Racing Audi A3 driver led throughout the ten-lap contest on the Grand Prix circuit. Ingram brought Team VERTU's Hyundai home second after working past Josh Cook and Ricky Collard in the opening stages, according to BTCC's report.
Cook finished third for Speedworks Corolla Racing, followed by Moffat's team-mate Mikey Doble. Collard was fifth and Daryl De Leon sixth in the amended order.
Penalty changes Sutton's position
Ash Sutton was classified eleventh after a five-second penalty for exceeding track limits. The timing sheet includes that sanction, so the positions reported here incorporate the amendment rather than the initial on-road order.
Under the BTCC's format, the qualifying race awards half points and determines the grid for the first of Sunday's three races. The published provisional grid for 11 October places Moffat and Ingram on the front row, with Cook and Doble immediately behind.
This is Saturday's qualifying-race result, not a report of Sunday's finale. Sutton arrived at Brands Hatch with an unassailable overall championship lead, while the Independent competitions remained among the battles to be resolved.
