Germany’s Moritz Löhner won the inaugural FIA Esports European Hill Climb Cup after the live final in Luxembourg on 11 October. The FIA’s report, published on 21 October, says more than 7,000 classified participants from 87 countries entered the online qualifying phase, with the eight quickest progressing to the final.

The finalists used RaceRoom to compete on a virtual version of Germany’s 5.5-kilometre Glasbachrennen hill-climb course, revealed on the morning before the event. They drove a digital BMW 134 powered by a 3.4-litre Judd V8, with five-second penalties for contact with barriers. Löhner beat Turkka Häkkinen 3–0 in their three-run semi-final, then won the single-run final 1–0 against Lebanon’s Sami Joe Abi Nakhle, who incurred two penalties. Italy’s Alessandro Ottaviani finished third.

The FIA introduced the cup in 2026 as a new discipline in its esports programme, using online qualifying to select the eight drivers for a live knockout final.
