Britain’s Albie Lapper will race with Tony Kart in the OK-N category at the 2026 FIA Karting World Cup in Viterbo, Italy. The FIA’s 6 October preview confirms that his entry forms part of the prize for winning this year’s Academy Senior title.
The governing body reports a record 266 entries across the two World Cup classes: 149 in OK-N and 117 in OK-N Junior. It identifies Lapper as the only British driver entered in the senior OK-N contest.
Lapper secured the 2026 Academy Senior crown at Kristianstad. His World Cup prize includes a free entry with an OTK team, and the FIA says the Academy Senior and OK-N categories use identical engines.
The provisional timetable has qualifying on Friday 9 October, heats continuing on Saturday and both World Cup finals on Sunday 11 October. The Leopard Circuit will also host the separate Academy Trophy Junior championship decider, with 52 drivers competing on identical Exprit karts and Vortex engines.
