The FIA’s final classification issued on 25 October shows Nasser Saleh Al-Attiyah and co-driver Candido Carrera winning the Petrolina Cyprus Rally by 4.63 seconds. They beat local crew Simos Galatariotis and Antonios Ioannou after a three-day event in which Al-Attiyah suffered three punctures and had to attack on the final Power Stage to recover the lead.
The victory secured Al-Attiyah’s 21st regional rally title and his 93rd win on a Middle East Rally Championship round. Carrera claimed his second championship title and eighth MERC rally victory. Michalis Posedias and Pambos Laos completed the final podium in a Renault Clio Rally3. The FIA labelled the published Cyprus Rally order the final result.
